[MM-S01] Server Overview

Shows the status, configuration settings and latest metrics of the servers in your BusinessObjects environments.

Web Intelligence document [MM-S01] Server - Overview from the MetaMiner standard report pack. It reads the MetaMiner Database (MMDB) through the MetaMiner Standard universe. See Reports and Data.

What it answers

  • Which servers are running, disabled or not responding.
  • Which servers have auditing turned on.
  • How a server is configured, and what its latest metric values are.

Who uses it: BI platform administrators checking server health and comparing configurations across environments.

Report tabs

Tab Shows
Server Status One row per server: type, kind, alive, disabled and auditing flags.
Server Configs Configuration settings per server and service.
Server Metrics Latest metric values per server.

Columns and measures

Group Columns
Server Environment, Server CMSID, Server, Server Friendly Name, Server Description, Server Type, Server Kind
Status Server is Alive?, Server is Disabled?, Server is Auditing Enabled?
Configuration Service, Config Setting Service, Config Setting Service Description, Config Setting, Config Setting Value
Metrics Server Metric, Server Metric Value

Prompts

Prompt Required Answer What it does
Environments No Pick one or more Environments to include, listed by CMSID with their description. Leave empty for all. The prompts below list only values from the environments you pick.
ServerTypes No Pick one or more Server types to include.
Servers No Pick one or more BusinessObjects servers to include. The list depends on the prompts above.

Input controls

Display controls change how the report shows its data:

Input control What it does
Prompt Selection Shows or hides the block under the header that lists your prompt answers. Spaced (default) shows it with a space between list items, Show shows it without spacing, Hide hides it.
CMSID / Server Type Switches the report body between CMSID and server type.

Filter controls keep only the rows that match the values you pick: Environment, Server Type, Server, Server Status, Service.

Run the report

  1. In BI launch pad, open [MM-S01] Server - Overview from the folder where you imported the standard report pack.
  2. Refresh the document and answer the prompts.
  3. Use the input controls to change the display or narrow the results.

Data it needs: Server status, configuration and metrics. Turn on Pull Server Metrics in the Pull settings.
