MetaMiner Database Schema¶
Reference for the schemas and main tables of the MetaMiner Database (MMDB), the PostgreSQL database where MetaMiner stores the metadata it collects.
The MMDB is one PostgreSQL database (default name metaminer). MetaMiner creates and upgrades every schema itself when the MetaMiner Server (MMS) starts; do not change table structures. Schemas for Tableau, Power BI and Snowflake exist only when your license enables those platforms.
PostgreSQL only
The MMDB runs on PostgreSQL only, either the embedded PostgreSQL that MetaMiner installs or your own PostgreSQL server. See MMDB Overview.
Schemas¶
| Schema | Contents |
|---|---|
public |
SAP BusinessObjects metadata: content, folders, universes, connections, users and groups, security, servers, audit data, Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports detail, document versions. |
bobj_meta |
SQL inventory built from BusinessObjects universe, Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports SQL after each pull; used for database impact analysis. |
metrics |
Server and host metrics: BusinessObjects server metrics, Web Intelligence activity, and host/process metrics sent by the remote metrics agent. |
mms |
MetaMiner's own operational data: pull history, query and transaction logs, saved Meta Query web queries. |
tableau, tableau_meta |
Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud metadata (Tableau license only). |
pbi |
Power BI and Microsoft Fabric metadata (Power BI license only). |
snowflake |
Snowflake metadata (Snowflake license only). |
flowscheduler |
Flow Scheduler Service data (Tableau only). |
silver |
Pre-aggregated usage tables for the usage web apps. |
Main BusinessObjects tables¶
All tables below are in the public schema. Each row carries the environment's cmsid and the object's cuid and objectid. The Data type column is the name MetaMiner uses for that kind of metadata in pull settings and logs.

Write SQL in lower case
PostgreSQL folds unquoted names to lower case, so SELECT * FROM documents and SELECT * FROM DOCUMENTS both work. The isdeleted column on content tables is a boolean; filter with isdeleted = false.
