General¶
Reference for the General page of Preferences > Settings...: server port and SSL, password rules and the connection banner.

MetaMiner Server Port Settings¶

Changing the port or SSL needs a server restart, and every MMC must then connect to the new port. The Power BI usage dashboards are also served on this port. Open the port in the Windows firewall. See MetaMiner Server SSL and Ports and Endpoints.
Password Restrictions¶
These rules apply to MetaMiner users when MetaMiner Security is on. See Users and Roles.

Harden password rules
Raise the minimum length and turn on complexity before you create MetaMiner users. See Hardening Checklist.
Connection Banner¶
