The Diff Mode filter group in the Filter Pane of Visual Diff consists of the following filters:

mmc-visual-diff-diffmode

CUID mode: check this option to compare objects based on CUID values and not just names (works for targets from different environments only). This filter is not applicable when you compare folder structures. To determine the CUID, view Properties of the object in CMS Explorer. In the following example the CUID mode is off:

mmc-visual-diff-cuid-off

MetaMiner cannot find similarities based on text analysis. But if you turn the CUID mode on, MetaMiner determines that Acme Corporation has been renamed to TIMAG, and they share the same CUID:

mmc-visual-diff-cuid-on

Use 'last modified' date: check this option to make MetaMiner evaluating the Updated value when comparing targets. In the same example, if you now turn off the Use Last Modified Date filter, some of the found similarities will not be shown:

mmc-visual-diff-lastdate-off

Show Presence of instances: check this option to make MetaMiner evaluating the presence of document Instances when comparing targets.
