The BusinessObjects Global Optimization Workshop, or GOW, is a free, 8-week instructor-led course aimed toward Business Intelligence managers, architects, administrators and BI practitioners specifically using SAP BusinessObjects who want improve their existing BOBJ landscape(s) by reducing complexity and improving overall speed and efficiency of their reporting and analytics. The GOW course achieves this by providing tools and materials that will help in:

• Eliminating unused/unwanted reports & universes
• Providing leadership with clear analysis on usage patterns and optimize license spend of their BusinessObjects landscapes
• Decommissioning retired or inactive users and groups
• Documenting Universe data catalogs for use across report analysts and ad-hoc users
• Identifying stale, excessive or phantom recurring schedules and removing them from the system
• Preparing for migrations to BI 4.2, 4.3 and rationalizing systems while transitioning to SAP Analytics Cloud

Before starting the course, participants will be expected to have a basic understanding of SAP BusinessObjects fundamentals as well as access to a Development/Test/Sandbox BusinessObjects XI3 or BI4 environment ideally with auditing enabled. Infolytik will provide workshop licenses to its MetaMiner platform that will be used during the workshop to illustrate solutions for BusinessObjects cleanup, optimization and rationalization.
