MetaMiner Server executes as system services on a Microsoft Windows computer.
Two system services are added to your system during MetaMiner Server installation:
| • | Infolytik MetaMiner 5.1: the main MetaMiner service which answers requests from MetaMiner Clients (use MetaMiner Administrator to start it) |
| • | Infolytik MetaMiner Watchdog: the supplementary MetaMiner service; most of time it sleeps and listens to signals from the main MetaMiner service; if some threads/processes of the main service stop responding and it ask to restat itself, the Watchdog performs "cold restart" (note that before trying "cold restart" the main service tries to perform the "soft restart"); not started by default; starts manually |
To find the MetaMiner system service:
| 1. | Move a mouse cursor to bottom-left corner of your screen and right-click the corner, or press WIN + X keys together. A context menu opens. |
| 2. | Select Computer Management. |
| 3. | Then choose Services and applications - Services. |
| 4. | Then find Infolytik MetaMiner 5.1. |
You can specify main service name and description in MetaMiner Server system variables.
