Change Owner

When a user is leaving the organization or there is another reason to have content ownership being transferred to another user, you can do this with the Change Owner command in Tableau Explorer.

Warning

This command is available only for workbooks, data sources, flows, and some of the projects, and only to those which has children (it is not available for empty projects).

When this command is chose, the Change Owner dialog window opens:

The structure of your user groups and accounts (of the same site) is displayed.

Use Quick Search Control and Expand All/Collapse All buttons to quickly find the target new owner.
