Preparing Tableau

Before installing MetaMiner Tableau Edition, it is recommended to perform the following steps in your Tableau environment.

Note

You need Tableau administrator privileges to do this.

  1. Create Tableau technical user account with login/password authentication that will be used by MetaMiner.

    It is highly recommended that you create a dedicated user account and do not share it with any other software or persons.

  2. Create PostgreSQL technical user account with login/password authentication and read-only access to your Tableau Repository.

Repeat these steps for all your Tableau environments, if you have many.
